VARUN KUNDRA
Accounting Diploma - 2011
What brought you to Humber and your program of study?
I came to Canada as an international student in 2008, where I had the privilege to select the institution and courses I wanted. I've heard a lot of great stories from past Humber students. Therefore, it led me to choose Humber because of the many good things I heard.
What was your favourite Humber memory or experience?
It was the best time to study at Humber. It's a multicultural college with many volunteer opportunities and countless events to participate in. The teaching staff was amazing. Overall, the Humber North Campus location, building and the opportunities provided were amazing.
What was Humber's greatest impact on your personal and professional life?
Such a great impact. My graduation certification is posted on my office wall where I feel very proud to be a student of Humber.
What are you up to now?
Today, in 2025, I've been working for more than 13 years in the Canadian Banking Industry. I was the first in my class to get a job at one of the big Canadian banks within 12 months of graduation. I have worked extremely hard over the last 14-15 years, having my academic schooling to help me succeed.
What else do you want to share (e.g. Memorable trip; If you had a superpower; Favourite food or coffee shop; Personal and professional interests; Awards and recognition; Other milestones)?
There were many memorable moments, including watching the 2011 International Cricket World Cup across the campus projector screens. The H204 computer area was where all my friends used to sit together, study and prepare for our computer classes. The library where we used to get a transit bus pass, mess area or food court, where after attending class every day, we used to sit together with friends to enjoy our well-deserved meal, traditional events such as Diwali & Vaisakhi events to take the opportunity and enjoy with friends, friendly teaching staff who was always willing to help and support. Overall, I can keep sharing many memories, which would take all day. Thank you, HUMBER!
