What brought you to Humber and your program of study?

As an international student, I chose Humber based on a friend's recommendation. Their positive experience led me to explore the college, and I found a program that perfectly aligned with my interests.

What was your favourite Humber memory or experience?

Being away from home, Humber’s cultural events made me feel connected to my roots. The diverse celebrations, engaging activities, and welcoming staff created a sense of belonging. These events brought students together, fostering a vibrant community that I always looked forward to being part of.

Academically, the hands-on classes and interactive learning approach made studying both enjoyable and inspiring. The engaging activities encouraged creativity and allowed me to apply my knowledge in real-world scenarios, making my learning experience truly memorable.
Internships and co-op programs provided valuable industry experience.

What was Humber's greatest impact on your personal and professional life?

Fashion Arts and Business at Humber had a profound impact on my life and career. The program equipped me with a strong foundation in fashion, business, and marketing, allowing me to develop both creative and analytical skills.

The problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and business acumen I developed continue to guide me in my professional journey. The networking opportunities, internships, and practical learning experiences provided me with a strong foundation that extends beyond fashion, shaping my approach to work and personal growth.

What are you up to now?

I have been working in the mortgage industry for the past four years, and I absolutely love what I do. My role allows me to help individuals achieve their financial goals, The business and analytical skills I gained during my studies have been instrumental in my professional journey.

What else do you want to share (e.g. Memorable trip; If you had a superpower; Favourite food or coffee shop; Personal and professional interests; Awards and recognition; Other milestones)?

When I reflect on my college years, what I truly miss most is the simplicity and freedom of those times. The days were mostly spent between classes, studying, and enjoying the company of good friends. I remember grabbing coffee at Tim’s and finding peace with a walk in the park behind campus after a busy day.

Now, living in Edmonton, I can’t help but long for those carefree days. Every time I visit Toronto, I always stop by Humber to reconnect with those priceless memories and remind myself of the joy and tranquility that campus once brought me.
