What brought you to Humber and your program of study?
Shortly before I completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Toronto, I knew I had to further my education. I wasn’t sure which program to prioritize. I had wanted to pursue a Master’s degree in Business Administration, which I completed in 2025, but at the time, I also wanted to explore a postgraduate diploma in Public Administration. Choosing this program at Humber College was just the right step. It was a remarkable experience that has undoubtedly marked my career path so far, equipping me with an arsenal of knowledge, skills and capabilities I still use today.
What was your favourite Humber memory or experience?
I opted to stay at the Lakeshore residence as home was quite a distance away. The group presentations were an absolute shock to me, as they were not a familiar requirement throughout my undergraduate studies. It will later become one of my favourite assignment requirements irrespective of the course. Through teamwork, I was able to share my perspectives, thereby boosting my public speaking and teamwork skills. It also allowed me to escape the echo-chamber trap by listening to and learning from others. These are critical components of both being a successful team player and a leader in any workplace.
What was Humber's greatest impact on your personal and professional life?
The depth and breadth of the Public Administration program was an excellent introduction to the various pathways one could lean into and carve a unique career path. As a result of the program, I’ve been able to work at the City of Toronto, journey into the world of international development, collaborate with global teams, and transform lives one community at a time.
What are you up to now?
I am currently serving as the Director of Programs and Policy at Compassion Canada. In this capacity, I lead the team to champion organizational strategy and donor policy readiness operations for partnerships with governments, institutional donors, and sector networks in Canada.
What else do you want to share (e.g. Memorable trip; If you had a superpower; Favourite food or coffee shop; Personal and professional interests; Awards and recognition; Other milestones)?
My goal is to be an asset to individuals and organizations dedicated to making a positive impact both locally and internationally. If you’re on this path as well, let's connect!
