FRANCA GIAMBATTISTA
Bachelor of Nursing - 2013
What brought you to Humber and your program of study?
I wanted to stay close to home.
What was your favourite Humber memory or experience?
Meeting my preceptor in my 4th year, she taught me how to be a nurse. We still talk, and I’m so grateful to have met her!
What was Humber's greatest impact on your personal and professional life?
During my 4 years, I learned my profession through my studies, but through my interactions with professors, clinical teachers, my co-students, and administration, I learned to be a better person
What are you up to now?
I’m a clinical teacher in the same program I graduated from. The professors I learned so much from are now my colleagues!
What else do you want to share (e.g. Memorable trip; If you had a superpower; Favourite food or coffee shop; Personal and professional interests; Awards and recognition; Other milestones)?
There was a snack shop in the B building that I stopped at frequently after I finished class, and I was on my way to work. Sometimes it's 18-20 hr days. That snack shop meant everything to me!
