What brought you to Humber and your program of study?

I attended Guelph-Humber from 2011-2016 because I wanted to gain an education from two of the best post-secondary institutions. Humber College was a school that I had always looked into, as I knew many people who attended programs here from friends, family, and older peers in high school. Being from Toronto, it allowed me to live at home while completing my education and preparing for my future. Humber's reputation for offering a wide array of programs spoke volumes about its dedication to its students. Coming from an arts-based high school, I knew that the talent from Humber College was strong.

What was your favourite Humber memory or experience?

Being a part of a school that allowed me to connect with my professors. A number of my friends attended very large programs where it was too challenging for professors to get to know their students personally, but with Guelph-Humber it felt like we were part of a family. Humber's campus was always lively with new people to meet, activities to try, and memories to be made.

What was Humber's greatest impact on your personal and professional life?

It gave me the opportunity to learn new skills and find what I was passionate about for my career, which is in the philanthropy sector. I made several life-long friends for whom I am so grateful because of our days at Humber's campus.

What are you up to now?

I currently work for the Ivey Business School at Western University, supporting students and recent alums in engagement, events, and relationship-building opportunities. I live in a small town near London, ON, with my fiancé and sweet baby boy. The confidence that Guelph-Humber instilled in me allowed me to pursue countless work-related goals and achieve some of my biggest dreams already.

What else do you want to share (e.g. Memorable trip; If you had a superpower; Favourite food or coffee shop; Personal and professional interests; Awards and recognition; Other milestones)?

My favourite memories at Humber were during class breaks when my friends and I had a few hours to ourselves and would walk around the Arb and see the wildlife. It is such a beautiful campus with so much to explore!
