Practical Nursing - 2015
What brought you to Humber and your program of study?
Luckily for me, it was proximity as I lived ten minutes away, as well as my sister attending Humber prior to me and graduating with great reviews of her experience attending, so for me it was inevitable.
What was your favourite Humber memory or experience?
Clinical lab was my favourite memory because we got to apply what we learned in the classroom to the scenarios in the practice module.
What was Humber's greatest impact on your personal and professional life?
The greatest impact was the warmth and support throughout the years of study, the reaffirmation of confidence instilled in students, and the drive to excel in the health field.
What are you up to now?
I have been a psychiatric nurse for a decade and have created a Mental Health Application currently in beta. It will be an innovation that significantly supports health care, reduces mental health stigma, and increases awareness.
I also teach Mental Health and Addiction at a private college for continuing education students.
What else do you want to share (e.g. Memorable trip; If you had a superpower; Favourite food or coffee shop; Personal and professional interests; Awards and recognition; Other milestones)?
Outside of my profession, I have a passion for fashion and have showcased a luxury fashion show at TOFW for Toronto's Fashion Week.
